Happy Bellariffic

Happy Friday, this week flew by with getting back from holidays & then yesterday we had a crazy winter storm come through Calgary - again I ask why we moved back here!!

For this weeks Bellariffic Friday the theme was to Ink Up a Stamp you haven't used & I must confess I have A LOT of them! I decided to ink up "just my type" since it has long been neglected. The image is stamped on bella's bestest cream paper with mementos ink and coloured with copics. I used a clear glaze pen on the keys and a red atyou spica pen on the heart.

The ds paper is from Pink Paislee 365* line layered on pumpkin pie and not quite navy. I added some ribbon and a button.

Hair Raising

I'm a fan of Mo Mannings designs & I am excited that some are now available in rubbah from Stamping Bella!

I love this image of Angelina; I so remember rubbing our hair to get the static; and now I use

all sorts of products to prevent static from happening!!

Angelina is stamped with mementos ink onto bella's bestest paper and coloured with copics. I used a lemon atyou spic pen on the polka dots on her dress; and fushia on her bloomers (my mom always had me in outfits like this when I was little!!) I paper pieced her dress so it sits onto of the bloomers and I also paper pieced the balloons. I used Mercy's sketch from this week (MTSC71)

The DS paper is from WeR Memory Keepers Hippity Hoppity line, layed on regal rose & I aded some regal rose ribbon.

Tee-riffic Thanks

I have been golfing on & off for several years, and after 12 years of using the same irons hubby arranged for me to get custom made clubs (something all women over 5'9" should do!) I was lucky that he is friends with the people at the company because they rushed my clubs so I could take them to Scottsdale last week - and they must work because I had the best round of my life there!

I wanted to thank hubby's contact & his assistant (you know it's because of her that I got them in time!) So I inked up Teeoffabella and used Mercy's sketch from last week (MTSC70) Tee-a-bella is stamped with mementos ink onto bella's bestest paper & coloured with copics. I used a pink atyou spica pen on the socks & a silver one on the club. For the golf ball I used a white glaze pen

The ds paper is My Minds Eye Quite contrary line layered on some prisma paper & melon mambo. I added some ribbon but didn't add the bow.

This weeks Bellariffics Friday theme is Ink What You Haven't Used; if you are like me there are several (and not just the ones that were at my front door today!!) Email your cards to Em by Thursday to be included on Friday; and remember you can win Bella Bucks!

We had a great time in Scottsdale, went to 2 Coyotes hockey games which were a lot of fun, and I am hoping they win tomorrow & we played 6 rounds of golf. The only sad part was a cold front came in while we were there! One day it was like golfing at home with 40km winds!!

A Blooming Good Day

I hope that's what you all have! It's time for another Sweet Stop Sketch (SSS53) and I chose to ink up one of my very neglected Pure Innocence stamps - Blooming Good Day

The image is stamped with mementos ink and coloured with copics. The ds paper is Basic Greys Kioshi, I used one of the patterns for her dress which is paper pieced. The watering can is also paper pieced and I used a clear glaze pen to give it some shine. The flower is popped up.

For the water I used star dust stickles and in the centre of the flower I used Taylor's Tiny Twinkles in purple. I took the centres out of the prima flowers and used the same purple twinkle in the centres.

Flowers for Mother's Day

Happy Friday!! This week's Bellariffic Fridays theme was Mother's Day (it's just around the corner!) My card is made so now I just have to get my act together & get the gift & card sent on time!!

I decided to try one of my new stamps Fuschias for LuLu and stamped the image onto bella's bestest cream paper and coloured the image with copics. I paper pieced the bow to give some dimension and so it could hang over the oval layers.

The DS paper is My Minds Eye Quite Contrary - I have to be honest I don't think I have ever used a ds paper this much before! I added some glamour dust glitter to the flowers and some tiny rhinestones in the corners

Cherry Bugg....

As most of you know Christy Croll, the amazing desginer behind the Huggabugg rubbah available at Stamping Bella also has digital images available through her own site Tiddly Inks. I love that these are extensions of some of the images that I have come to love at Stamping Bella; but no rubbah just digi!

This sweet image is call Cherry Bugg Cupcake - isn't she sweet?! The image is printed on bella's bestest paper and coloured with copics. I added some glamour dust glitter to the top of the cupcakes and used a red atyou spica pen on the cherry.


The paper is from on of my Taylored Expressions kit, the ds paper is Bo Bunny's Kitchen Spice. The flower rhinestones are from the kit as well, but I coloured them a darker orange to go with my image. The punch is from Martha Stewart

Gratty 'tude

I am feeling Gratty 'tude because it's NHL playoff season & I am a hockey FREAK!! Seriously I sat here colouring while flipping between hockey games; I am far worse then my hubby!!

I used this weeks Sweet Sunday Sketch (SSC65) as my starting point. I loved this sketch and had a lot of fun playing along. I chose Gratty 'Tude because when I was going through my bindah's (another one needed after last weeks release) I saw her hair (again freak!) and wanted to colour it!

The image is stamped on bella's bestest paper & coloured with copics. I used a pink atyou spica pen on the pink flowers, turquoise on the blue ones (smudged it so it wasn't too intense) and a red on the hearts. For the polka dots on her dress I used a pitch black atyou spica pen, and a black glaze pen on her shoes.

The DS paper is again My Minds Eye Quite Contrary (really one day I will move on from this paper!) I stitched around the ds paper and added some gingham pink ribbon on my strip and added a pink button. In the centre of all the flowers I used some teeny tiny rhinestones.

An Anniversary

This week The Sweet Stop Sketch Challenge Blog is celebrating it's 1st Anniversary!! Here we are at sketch SSS52! This weeks sketch is a sketch with a spin - buttons & bows.

I decided to make a masculine card, I never make them and I thought it might be good to have them in reserve! I went through my Taylored Expressions stamps and inked up one of the Whimsical Wishes stamps; Boys will be Boys.

The images is stamped on cream paper, I stamped the image twice and paper pieced the ties on; they are popped at the bottom of the tie to give them more dimension. The ds paper is from one of my Taylored Expressions kits; the ds paper is My Minds Eyes Abbey Road

A New IZZIE!!!!

I am a huge fan of all the Izzie images and when Em sent me this new one I was so excited - Izziehasaburfdaycake!!!

Izziehasaburfdaycake is on bella's bestest paper and coloured with copics. I used a pitch black atyou spica pen on the polka dots on her skirt, hairband and on the pockets. The cake is paper pieced, and for the icing I used liquid applique with glamour dust glitter.

The DS paper is My Minds Eye's Quite Contrary Little Miss Muffet which I paper pieced around the edges and added a strip of ribbon. I took a trick from Jodibella and sponged around my image with mementos cantaloupe ink.

A New Tea Cup....

I am so excited to show you another sneak peek for the Bella release now on THURSDAY!!! Yep Em pushed the release up by a day & I am SO excited! If you haven't seen any of the peeks yet make sure you pop over to the other babes blogs.

When Em sends us our images & it's always so exciting to see them - I have to confess when I saw Tabithateacup (I think that's what Em said her name was going to be) I squealed with delight!! I {heart} colouring hair- and she had perfect hair to colour!!

The images is on bella's bestest paper and of course coloured with copics. The tea cup was layered with a clear glaze pen and paper pieced onto the image for dimension. The ribbon in her hair is popped up and in the centre I put a bella raspberry bauble.

The DS paper is from Basic Greys green at heart and the embellishment is from basic grey as well (I love these flowers that match the paper)

Going to the Chapel....

I am so excited to show you a sneak peek for Stamping Bella's release Friday - tietheknotabella!!

The image is on bella's bestest paper and coloured with copics; except the car which I coloured with pencils with gamsol. I used a silver atyou spica pen on the outline of the license plate and in the centre of the bells. Along her veil and in the centre of the flowers I used some glamour dust glitter.

The ds paper is from my stash of Little Yellow Bicycle's delightful collection and the punch is from Martha Stewart.

Cupcake Sweets

Happy Saturday!! I hope you all had a great week, can you believe it's already time for another Sweet Stop Sketch?! I hope you can play along with SSS51 this week!

For my card I used a Tiddly Ink digi stamp called spring cupcake. The image is printed on neenah paper and coloured with copics. I printed the image twice so I could pop up some of the flowers on the cupcake.

The DS paper is Bo Bunny's Kitchen spics, and the cs is all prisma paper. I paper pierced around the blue (which is the ds paper) and added some tiny rhinestones in the corners. The orange rhinestone flowers weren't quite the right colour so I coloured the with a copic marker - I love how you can use copics for this!

Groovy Bellariffic

Happy Friday!! This weeks Bellariffic Fridays theme was a sketch - I hope you were able to play along

I decided to ink up Daisy VW; one of my many neglected stamps! You wouldn't have wanted to be in the VW here yesterday! It was a nice sunny spring day; the window cleaners came to do the exterior windows (YEAH!!) Then as they were working the wind kicked up (70kms) and I swear 10 min after they finished it started snowing!! I mean BIG FLAKES and while snowing it was thundering - who knew that was possible!!

Anyways on with the card. I stamped the image on bella's bestest cream paper & coloured the images with copics. I used a clear glaze pen on the windows and headlights. The fender & license plate are paper pieced to give some definition and the image is popped up on the card.

The DS paper is White Out - I am drawn to the funky colours in this line & when I think of the VW vans this is the paper I was thought of and sewed it on. I added some ch

ocolate and orange ribbon and some primas and bella bonbons

Polar Bear Christmas

I wanted to try and get a Christmas card made this week & when I saw Mercy's sketch this week (MTSC68) I was inspired to ink up Polar Bear Circle from Stamping Bella.

The image is stamped with mementos ink onto bella's bestest paper and coloured with copics. I used a silver zig pen (oh do those smell!!) on the stripes on the scarf. For the snow I added some glamour dust glitter and on the present I used some sweet basil microfine glitter.

The ds paper is from SEI Christmas mint collection. The ds paper is layered on wild wasabi cs, which is layered on chocolate chip cs. I ran a piece of riding hood red cs through my swiss dots cuttlebug folder and mounted the image on that. The polar bear was cut out with a mega circle punch then layered on a piece of chocolate chip cs that I cut with a circle nesties

Pure Innocence Mojo

I found some Pure Innocence Digi's and ordered a few - I still prefer having the stamps for paper piercing etc but some of the digis are so darn cute!!

I LOVED this weeks Mojo sketch (Mojo 133) and was happy I could play along. I printed off one of the digis of the Pure Innocence girl with a flower pot and coloured the image with copics.

I added some star dust stickles to the centre of the flowers. On the flower pot I used a clear glaze pen.

The DS paper is from WeR memory makers Hippity Hoppity line - I love the brightspring colours. The ds and image are layered on Rose Red. The stripe is the reverse side of the ds paper and I added some orange rhinestones.

Has Spring Sprung?!

I am so excited I have been invited to be a part of the Sweet Stops Sugar Baby team!! I love their sketches and was absolutely thrilled to be a part of this amazing group.

For this weeks sketch (SSS50) I inked up on of my long neglected Elzybells stamps. Spring Blooms is stamped with mementos ink and coloured with copics. I used a lemon atyou spica pen on the dark yellow areas and added some orange stickles to the flower which is paper pieced & popped.

The ds paper is from We R Memory called

Hippity Hoppity, and it's layered on melon mambo cswhich is layered on wild wasabi which is embossed with cuttlebugs swiss dots. I added some ribbon and an crochet flower with an orange rhinestone in the middle.

Wedding Wishes....

This weeks Bellariffic Fridays challenge was weddings or anniversary card. For my card I chose Izzie has a lettah; it's her wedding invitation!

Izzie has a lettah is stamped with mementos ink onto bella's bestest paper and coloured with copics. I used a garnet atyou spica pen on the heart on the envelope & a pitch black spica

pen on the polka dots on skirt & hair band

The DS paper is Basic Grey's Kioshi line (love this line and the soft colours) On the centre of all the flowers on the DS paper I've added some black or red glitter (sorry it didn't show up in the picture). I made the ds paper my only embellishment.

April Calender

For this months calender page I reached for one of those sweet Turtle Tots from Stamping Bella

Turtle Tots Picking Posies is stamped with mementos ink and coloured with copics. On the flowers I added some tiny rhinestones to the flowers (except the one he is holding there I used a pink atyou spica pen) to give it some bling.
